On December 1st, 2021, Abre released a beta version of Abre Notifications for staff and administrators only, offering a preview of what we have coming in 2022. The Abre Notifications Beta provides real-time in-app notifications across a variety of applications, including Assessments, Behavior, Class, Forms, and Plans.
How to Set Up Notifications
Abre Staff users will now see a 'bell' notification icon in the header.
- Select the bell icon on the top right corner of the screen.
- Select "Notification Settings". This page offers a variety of in-app notification types that users can opt into/enroll in based on their granted permission levels.
- Select the checkbox next to the notifications you wish to opt into. These will be saved automatically.
Available Notification Types
The following notification types are available as part of this Beta release:
- A new common assessment is created
- Someone shares an assessment with you
- Someone closes a behavior incident (Initial Creator of the Incident & Behavior Administrators)
- Someone creates a new behavior incident (Behavior Admins Only)
- Someone updates a behavior incident (Behavior Admins Only)
- A new class activity is submitted
- Someone shares a course with you
- Someone shares a form with you
- Someone updates your plan status
How to View Notifications
When a user has a new notification(s), a number will appear next to the bell icon, indicating the number of unread notifications the user has. Selecting the bell icon will display a "Recent Notification" popup. All unread notifications will have a red dot next to them. To view all notifications, a user can select "See All" at the bottom the notification list.
Selecting a notification will bring the user directly to the page/activity described in the notification. For example, if a notification indicates that an assessment was shared, selecting the notification would bring the user directly to the shared assessment.
